Plantain flour is a better substitute for cassava products (like garri/fufu), pounded yam, yam flour (amala) etc. especially for diabetic patients. Because it digests easily, it can be used for late night light meal without causing constipation.
Making JKB plantain flour is a simple process of peeling, drying and milling the dried plantain into flour. There is only one ingredient which is unripe plantain.

We recommend that for JKB plantain flour to be more potent, simply use following process:
- Pour sizeable quantity of flour is a cup
- Add reasonable quantity of water
- Add measurable quantity of milk to your taste
- Add little quantity of honey to sweeten it
- Stir vigorously to achieve desired result.

No. Not only are plantains a delicious source of nutrients, they can also serve as a gluten-free substitute for a variety of baked goods such as breads etc.
You can use traditional method rising agents such as yeast or baking powder.
JKB Plantain flour is a very good substitute for cassava products (like garri/fufu), pounded yam, yam flour (amala) etc. especially for diabetic patients. JKB plantain flour can serve as raw material used in the production of cakes, puff-puff, biscuit, bread and pan cakes.
Deep brown. Deeper than yam flour “amala” and wheat meal. The colour of the cooked plantain flour (amala) is determined by the drying method and maturity of the plantain fruits used for the plantain flour. But JKB plantain flour is produced from/with matured green unripe plantain fruits thereby giving it that distinct or unique colour.
It is prepared a similar way like semolina, “amala” etc.
Boil reasonable quantity of water in a cooking pot.
Add JKB plantain flour into pot of hot water; stir vigorously to avoid lumps forming. Add more JKB plantain flour if required.
Cover pot and allow to cook on low heat for 2 to 3 minutes. Add more water if required. Mash and flip over, by now it should be stretchy.
When desire texture is reached simply scoop unto a plate.
Your JKB plantain flour is ready to be served with any soup of your choice.
